I was thinking recently that I do a lot of things "technical" around the house and if I was gone my wife wouldn't know what needed to be done or how to do it. There are backups of all the computers and how to restore files. There are accounts on almost all of the hardware I've connected to the network such as network attached storage and the router. This start a search for wiki software that I can run on any machine, is easy to use, and is free.

I got a recommendation from a co-worker for TiddlyWiki. They claim to be non-linear but I can't help but view it as linear and sequential. This may take a change in thinking .

Last Day of Rally Racing

Today was my last day of rally racing school. I had a really good time doing it and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about rally driving or just likes to drive cars sideways down a dirt road.

Yesterday a reporter came out from The Gainesville Sun and interviewed me. He didn't come out to interview me but I happened to be there and since I was the only student he settled for me - a photographer also came out and took some pictures. The article is supposed to be in the paper this weekend and if it is I'll post a link to it.

I really hope that they don't use the picture of me getting in the car. I'm not the most graceful looking person and roll cage on the car made it pretty tight getting in the car so naturally as soon as I started squeezing into the car the photographer ran over and started taking pictures. Great.

I took some pictures and a few hourss of video. I'll post the pictures and if I can figure out how to create streaming video I'll post some clips. The whole video was useful for reviewing my performance but it's pretty boring to watch from end to end.

Rally Racing

I'm out of town this week at driving school. I'm at Ivor Wigham's European Rally School. I started driving today after some classroom work. The first thing we did was run the car on a small paved course just to get used to it and practice how and where to approach the corners. After that we moved to the dirt track and worked on parking break turns and then we moved on to running a small course.

The parking break turns were easier than I thought they would be (just to do not to do expertly). I think it helps that I don't own the car and the prospect of running into the brush doesn't concern me terribly.

The short course was fun and had several turns that I could use my new found knowledge.

On the whole I had a good time and I'll probably be a little sore tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Bin Laden - The Play

I've decided to write a play based on the words of OBL. The play will be a comedy, of course, and drinks WILL be served.
